The journey to deliver these care packages began high in the Blue Mountains. From communities like Industry and Mount Pleasant, our volunteers made their way through Ginger House and Comfort Castle, all the way to Millbank—traveling deep into The Valley to reach elders, disabled neighbors, and the households most impacted by the hurricane.

The map claims it’s 1 hour and 17 minutes, but the roads, the hills, and The Valley will quickly remind you it’s much longer in real life. Many of these communities are still without electricity as a result of the storm.

The memory and legacy of our ancestors carried us.

Our community fueled us.

And with each package delivered, the Rio Grande Valley reminded us that resilience lives here. 🌿💛
